Unclogging Your Roster (Fantasy Football 2021 – Week 11)

Accountability Check – Week 10

Mike Davis – 37% Snaps, RB58
Bryan Edwards – 80% Snaps, WR8
San Francisco 49ers D/ST – DST19
Kadarius Toney – Bye Week

Fantasy Football is a predictable game where outcomes are easily decided prior to games being played, said no one ever.  As we all saw coming, Bryan Edwards finished with a massive week with limited usage once again.  If the Raiders do find a way to get him more targets, he would be a great flex starter but he is still limited and can’t be trusted. When Cordarrelle Patterson went down, it was Wayne Gallman that came in and got the carries. Mike Davis is not rosterable in almost any format.

Rosters are getting cleaner and the waiver wires are starting to be limited on talent, but here are some candidates that you can unclog from your depth charts.

Jeremy McNichols (RB – Tennessee Titans)

Yahoo Rostership: 52%
Full PPR Rankings: RB52
Last 5 Snap Trend: 2% → 15% → 23% → 45% → 27%
Last 5 Positional Weekly Finishes (PPR): Injured → 55 → 48 → 41 → 61

The hope with Derrick Henry going down, that the duties for the runnings backs would get split evenly, and eventually someone would take the lead. Unfortunately, that looks like Jeremy McNichols is the odd man out. D’Onta Foreman has taken over and Adrian Peterson looks like he will get some goal-line work.  McNichols should not be rostered.

T.Y. Hilton (WR – Indianapolis Colts)

Yahoo Rostership: 43%
Full PPR Rankings: WR134
Last 3 Snap Trend: 50% → 44% → 61%
Last 3 Target Trend: 20% → 10% → 15%
Last 3 Positional Weekly Finishes (PPR): 32 → 80 → 96

Not quite sure what we are chasing here.  He will never be featured as his old self and Michael Pittman has a stranglehold on the receiving corp for the Colts.  Unless he is playing the Houston Texans each week, he should not be rostered and at the very least not be started.

Baltimore Ravens D/ST

Yahoo Rostership: 79%
Full PPR Rankings: DST27
Last 5 Points Allowed: 25 → 6 → 41 → 31 → 22
Last 5 Sacks per Game Totals: 2 → 2 → 1 → 0 → 4
Last 5 Positional Weekly Finishes (PPR): 13 → 6 → 24 → 26 → 14

Staying with the defenses, Baltimore’s defense just hasn’t been great this season when it comes to fantasy.  Even against good matchups like the Miami Dolphins and Detriot Lions, they failed to capitalize and left many owners frustrated. Look to drop this unit and follow my streaming articles to find out a better option at D/ST.

Slow Drainers

Listing another player here that I personally really like but am starting to hate the coaching staff more and more. Remember, this is advising to drop the player but to monitor their next week’s usage.

Courtland Sutton (WR – Denver Broncos)

Yahoo Rostership: 90%
Full PPR Rankings: WR29
Last 5 Snap Trend: 88% → 94% → 87% → 83% → 95%
Last 5 Target Trend: 29% → 15% → 15% → 7% → 8%
Last 5 Positional Weekly Finishes (PPR): 8 → 31 → 65 → 72 → 63

I want to first state that I am not advising you to drop Courtland Sutton. This is mostly a warning on his usage with and without Jerry Juedy in the lineup.  Jerry has proven to be the alpha on this team and Teddy favors him over Courtland.  It is a small sample size, but this one is to monitor for all the Sutton managers.

I was asked to join a fantasy football league in High School and I haven't been the same since. I love the competitive nature, the communities it builds, and the thinking and content that can be created. I am hoping to connect to larger audiences in helping them grow into becoming knowledgable managers and I am open to discussions.
