The Stream Option (Fantasy Football 2020 – Week 10)

The Stream Option is a weekly article where The Undroppables explore the best options at Quarterback, Defense, and Tight End that should be available in most leagues.
*Note: ESPN rostership rates were gathered on 11/10/2020 and are subject to change.

Quarterbacks

Jared Goff – LAR vs SEA

Jared Goff is currently the QB18 on the season, and, this week, will face the 32nd-ranked pass defense in Seattle. Goff has yet to score less than ten points in a single week this season and should offer a solid floor. Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks pass defense is currently allowing 26.73 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season. Goff is only rostered in 40.9% of ESPN leagues.

Drew Lock – DEN @ LV

Drew Lock was the QB4 in Week 9, scoring 29.22 fantasy points against the abysmal Atlanta Falcons pass defense. Luckily, in Week 10, he gets another easy game against a Texans defense that just allowed 21.46 fantasy points to Jaguar’s backup Jake Luton. While Lock has missed 3 games this season and put up a dud against the Pats in Week 6, he has shown that the Bronco’s offense can provide him with fantasy points. While I still have my qualms with Lock as a franchise quarterback, he has been given positive game scripts by the Broncos defense. Lock is only rostered in 18.4% of ESPN leagues.

Other options: Baker Mayfield vs HOU (21.2% rostership)

Tight Ends

Irv Smith, Jr. – MIN @ CHI

Irv Smith has been loved by the fantasy community since he entered the league for the incredible athletic prowess he brings to the TE position. While Irv hasn’t exactly had the breakout some hoped for this season, he has averaged almost ten fantasy points per game over his last four contests. I expect Smith to continue this trend against a Bears defense that is currently allowing the 4th most fantasy points to opposing Tight Ends. Smith is only rostered in 4.4% of ESPN, even after this solid stretch.

Jimmy Graham – CHI vs MIN

Jimmy Graham is currently the TE6 on the season and is coming off a 17.5 fantasy point outing against the Titans. Meanwhile, the Bears will face the Vikings in Week 10. The Vikings are currently allowing the third-most passing yards per game in the NFL, so the opportunity for fantasy points should be there for Graham this week. Graham is only rostered in 66.1% of ESPN leagues.

Defenses

Philadelphia Eagles D/ST – PHI @ NYG

While the Eagles defense has, by no means, been dominant this season, they are currently a top 10 fantasy D/ST after scoring a combined 30 points in their two games prior to last week’s bye. The first of these games was a nine-point outing at home against the same Giants team they will face on Sunday. The combination of Daniel Jones’ fumbling issues and the lackluster play of the Giants offensive line should afford the Eagles pass-rush opportunity to score fantasy points. This Philly pass-rush, led by Fletcher Cox and Brandon Graham, is currently second in the NFL in sacks per game and seventh in forced fumbles per game. The Eagles Defense is currently rostered in 43.2% of ESPN leagues.

New Orleans Saints D/ST – NO vs SF

The Saints D/ST currently ranks tenth in fantasy points scored on the season and has put together a few impressive outings, including last Sunday night’s dismantling of Tom Brady and the Bucs on primetime. In Week 10, they face a 49ers offense led by backup QB Nick Mullens which has allowed 6 fantasy points to both the Seahawks’ and Packers’ defenses in their past two outings. The Saints Defense is currently rostered in 38.9% of ESPN leagues.

Other options: Detroit D/ST vs WSH (4.8% rostered), Minnesota D/ST @ CHI (15.7% rostered)
