Flexing (Fantasy Football 2021 – Week 7)

Are you looking for the perfect flex to put into your lineup? Do not worry, as I have you covered with the top flexing plays each week. The formula is simple. I look at running backs and wide receivers starting with the RB25/WR25 and dig deeper. I use FantasyPros ADP for the rankings and its one-point PPR.

Running Backs

Mark Ingram

The matchup against the Cardinals isn’t the best for Mark Ingram. Arizona is seventh most formidable against running backs allowing just 19.7 points a game. However, Ingram is the primary ball carrier in the struggling Houston offense. Ingram is the RB50 on the season, so it doesn’t go without risk, and he has only two double-digit weeks. Ingram is ranked 32nd this week.

Kenyan Drake

With Jon Gruden departing, there were going to be some changes to the offense. Last week, Kenyan Drake was more involved in the offense. Drake scored two touchdowns coming from air and ground. Now, the question is will Drake continue to see more volume? His four carries trailed Josh Jacobs by 12, and he was fifth in targets. Drake is ranked 36th and could make an excellent flexing play this week.

Rhamondre Stevenson

The New York Jets defense against the run is the worst in allowing fantasy points scored (33.6 ppg). It comes down to how much volume Rhamondre Stevenson will get from Bill Belichick. Damien Harris has occupied the space, but Stevenson has shown promise. He carried the ball five times for 23 yards and a touchdown and caught all three of his targets for 39 yards against Dallas last week. Stevenson ranks 37th this week.

Wide Receivers

Hunter Renfrow

Hunter Renfrow was bottled up against the Broncos’ defense as he caught just three passes for 36-yards. It was the first time he was held under 10 fantasy points this season. This week, the Raiders face the Eagles, who give up the fourth least points to the position (29.9 ppg). Therefore, it will be difficult for Renfrow to achieve double-digits. However, Renfrow is talented enough to break through that barrier and is getting nearly 20-percent of the team’s targets. He is currently the WR34 and ranked 31st.

Christian Kirk

The Cardinals offense is blazing, and Christian Kirk has been a beneficiary with 26 receptions for 358 yards and three touchdowns. Kirk has hit on double-digit point in three of six weeks and now faces the Texans defense, who are stingy against receivers (30.9 ppg), ranking sixth. However, Kirk has been having his best season and is the WR29 statistically and ranked 32nd by Fantasy Pros. Kirk should make an excellent flexing play this week.

Amon-Ra St. Brown

Amon-Ra St. Brown has seen at least seven or more targets in the last three contests. St. Brown, in that time, has hit double-digit points each week. However, he has not scored a touchdown in his rookie year and faces the Rams. Los Angeles is not the same team against the pass as they are the run. In fact, the Rams rank 20th in fantasy points allowed to the wide receiver (39.5). St. Brown is currently the WR68 and is ranked 41st. Look for him to progress his rookie season and make him an excellent flexing spot.

Kendrick Bourne

Kendrick Bourne is the one Mac Jones looks to when not targeting Jakobi Meyers. Bourne has put up double-digit points in three of his six weeks. The Patriots also have the Jets on schedule, and they are tough against the pass. Allowing just 26.4 points to wide receivers. However, this is mostly the opposing offense running out the clock and not passing while ahead. Bourne is the WR47 and ranked 52nd.
