If you are still playing, congratulations on making the playoffs! If you didn’t make the playoffs, take this column and use it for DFS.
I want to personally thank you for sticking with me through this entire season and now reading my article to help you win in the fantasy playoffs. Thank you!
If you aren’t in the playoffs I hope you have been reading this to help you win DFS games on Fanduel and DraftKings.
If you are new around here this is how it works:
Money Maker – I think this person will perform well this week and be better than projections
Heart Breaker – These players will not meet projections
Quarterbacks
💰 Money Makers
Sam Darnold ($7,000 on Fanduel and $5,100 on DraftKings)
I wasn’t kidding when I said to add him. I am not kidding now when I say you should play him. The Jets play the Seahawks in Week 14. The Seahawks give up an average of 323 yards and 2 touchdowns per game. He is a dream for the stream.
Philip River ($7,000 on Fanduel and $5,900 on DraftKings)
Another guy I said to add and now I am saying play him too. Rivers has over 300 yards or multiple touchdowns in 4 straight games. Next up are the Raiders and their extremely beatable defense against the pass. Rivers is another option to stream and a nice DFS play.
Ben Roethlisberger
Passing the ball over 30 times a game for three straight weeks is helping Ben produce. The Steelers are playing the Bills in what looks to be a high scoring game. I like Big Ben to find his receivers and make some noise like another 300 yard multiple touchdown game.
Other quarterbacks I like in Week 5:
There is the obvious: Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, and Deshaun Watson
The not so obvious: Justin Herbert, Tom Brady, and Ryan Tannehill.
💔 Heart Breakers
Derek Carr
Carr delivered against the Jets but this week he gets the Colts. The Colts have the fourth ranked defense against the pass in the NFL. Carr has been somewhat up and down, this looks like a down week.
Cam Newton
Newton has produced relatively well in the run game this season. The Rams are up on Thursday night and have the best defense against quarterbacks. If Cam can’t run for multiple touchdowns this is going to be a tough go. Run away!
Jared Goff
You know who else is very good against quarterbacks, the Patriots defense. The Rams are playing the Pats this week. I would bet the Rams tend to run a little more than pass in Week 14. Let’s be honest you weren’t putting your playoff hopes in Goff anyways were you?
Other quarterbacks to avoid: Philadelphia QB (which ever one it is), Kyler Murray, and Josh Allen.
Running Backs
💰 Money Makers
David Montgomery ($6,600 on Fanduel and $6,500 on DraftKings)
Last week Monty got to play the Lions and delivered. 72 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns, while also adding 4 receptions for 39 yards. For the third week in a row Montgomery gets a a bottom 3 defense against the run, this time it is the Texans. A smash DFS play this week and a guy that should take you through the first round of the playoffs.

Adrian Peterson ($5,900 on Fanduel and $5,000 on DraftKings)
I keep trying to say play D’Adre Swift in nice match ups. This is a nice match up where I would say play Swift if I felt 100% sure he would play. Well if Swift doesn’t play I am telling you to play Peterson, put him in your line up in DFS, make him a plug and play in league play. He has been stellar the past two weeks, scoring not one but two touchdowns in each week. The Packers and their crappy run defense is up next.
Jonathan Taylor ($7,000 on Fanduel and $5,800 on DraftKings)
Both Taylor and Hines produced last week. Taylors looked fantastic with 135 total yards and touchdown. This week he gets the Raiders and their extremely friendly defense against the run. Taylor will run and run and run, I like Hines too in PPR.
Other running backs to play:
The obvious: Aaron Jones, Dalvin Cook, Alvin Kamara, Nick Chubb, and Derrick Henry.
The not so obvious: Gio Bernard, James Robinson, and Melvin Gordon.
💔 Heart Breakers
Miles Sanders
Sanders has been really, really bad lately. The Eagles have also been really, really bad lately. In Week 14, the Eagles play the Saints and the best defense against the run. The Saints have allowed 3 rushing touchdowns on the season and only 5 touchdowns to running backs. WOOF!
Devin Singletary
The Steelers are really good against running backs. They pretty much smother them. Singletary hasn’t been that great on the season. Expect a down game for Singletary and Zack Moss in Week 14, looks like Allen will be throwing the ball.
Raheem Mostert
Mostert has not passed 50 yards in either of the last two games. Week 14 brings the Washington Football Team and its third ranked defense against the run. You are probably playing if you have him in season long but I am avoiding at all costs in DFS.
Other running backs that will cost you in Week 8: Damian Harris and J.D. McKissic.
Wide Receivers
💰 Money Makers
Jamison Crowder ($6,600 on Fanduel and $5,400 on DraftKings)
Last week Crowder had a revival with Sam Darnold back at QB. 5 receptions for 47 yards and 2 touchdowns. This week he gets to play against the nicest defense for wide receivers this season, the Seahawks. Look for Crowder and Bernard Perriman to have nice days.
Jamison Crowder with Sam Darnold at the QB position is poetry.

Tee Higgins ($6,400 on Fanduel and $4,800 on DraftKings)
The Bengals are playing the Cowboys. The Cowboys love to let you pass against them. They are a bottom 4 defense against wide receivers. With 5 receptions in each of the last two games you will see production from Higgins this week.
Chris Godwin ($7,400 on Fanduel and $6,300 on DraftKings)
The Vikings have been bleeding points to wide receivers all season. Godwin has been producing in PPR. This is a great week to plug him in and watch him pile up catches and yards.
Other wide receivers to play:
The obvious: Keenan Allen, Davante Adams, Michael Thomas, Tyreek Hill, DeAndre Hopkins.
The not so obvious: Corey Davis, AJ Brown, Adam Thielen, and Justin Jefferson.
💔 Heart Breakers
Deebo Samuel
Deebo has looked real good since coming back from his injury. He has 17 receptions over the past two weeks. However, the Washington Football Team is good against Wide Receivers. In fact, they are the second best against wide receivers in the NFL.
DeVante Parker
You would think the Chiefs would not good against wide receivers but they are. The Dolphins play the Chiefs in Week 14. If Ryan Fitzpatrick playing quarterback I might feel better about Parker but he isn’t this week. Avoid.
Jarvis Landry
The Browns like to run for the most part. The Ravens defend wide receivers really well. Landry looks like someone you will want to avoid in Week 14. Say no to the Browns passing game this week.
Other wide receivers will cost you: Nelson Agholor and Brandin Cooks.
Tight Ends Week 5
💰 Money Makers
Mark Andrews
The Cleveland Browns give up and average of 57 yards and a touchdown to tight ends a game. The Ravens play the Cleveland Brown in Week 14. Mark Andrews is the starting tight end for the Ravens. Andrews was tearing it up before avoiding Covid a couple of very nice games.
Hunter Henry ($5,700 on Fanduel and $4,400 on DraftKings)
Henry was a Heart Breaker last week and struggled against the Patriots, but Week 14 brings Falcons and their pathetic defense against tight ends. The Falcons give up 56 yards and a touchdown per game to tight ends. I would look at that as being the floor for Henry.
Other tight ends to play:
The obvious Travis Kelce, Darren Waller.
The not so obvious: Jordan Reed, Eric Ebron, and Noah Fant.
💔 Heart Breakers
Robert Tonyan
The Lions are good against tight ends. I would expect Aaron Jones to explode against the Lions and Tonyan to take a back seat. Touchdown or bust this week for Tonyan, avoid him in DFS completely.
Logan Thomas
Thomas has been spectacular lately, but in Week 14 he is playing against the Niners and their league leading defense against tight ends. If you were playing him in season long you probably have better stream options out there. In DFS this guy is not playable this week.
Other tight ends that will cost you: Dallas Goedert, and Evan Engram.
If you are looking for Defenses to stream, take a look at The Stream Option by Kyle Larson.
