Money Makers & Heart Breakers (Fantasy Football 2021 – Week 11)

As I often see people getting upset when they have been proven wrong I think it is important for us all to understand it is OK to be wrong. Understanding that you don’t have all the answers and that this is OK is something everyone should grasp. Too many people want to either be “right” or at least appear to be “right”. The fear of appearing as not the expert or being wrong often drives people down the wrong path. I would rather have the correct information even if it means I was initially wrong.
What is important to me here is that just because you believe something is correct doesn’t mean it is. If new information is presented that is factual you should consider that and if that changes your initial belief that is OK. What I mean by this is that just because you think something is correct, defined or the only way, do not close your mind as other facts or information present themselves to you.
In fantasy football as in all factors of our work and personal lives, it is more important to try and get to the correct answer than it is to appear to be right. Get comfortable with the fact that you will be wrong, focus on the process, and you will start being correct more often.

Quarterbacks

Dak Prescott

The Chiefs are giving up 266 yards and 2 touchdowns a week to opposing quarterbacks. The Chiefs give up the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. The Cowboys play the Chiefs in Week 11. Dak Prescott has thrown for multiple touchdowns in all but one game he has played in this season. You see the logic here right? I simply love Dak this week.

Ryan Tannehill

Tannehill plays the Texans in Week 11. The Texans give up the 10th most points to quarterbacks in fantasy. Tannehill has multiple touchdowns in 4 straight weeks with him rushing for a touchdown in 4 of the last 5 games. Since Derrick Henry’s severe foot injury the Tannehill has been the focal point of the Titans’ offense. Tannehill parties it up in Nashville in week 11.

Jimmy Garoppolo

In the past three games, Jimmy G has thrown for 300 yards and/or multiple touchdowns. In Week 11 he gets the Jaguars defense that gives up 260 yards and a touchdown per week to opposing team’s quarterbacks. With Elijah Mitchell having a finger operation on Wednesday, I am looking at Jimmy throwing the ball a little more in Week 11.

Running Backs

Myles Gaskin

I know he has been inconsistent. Gaskin has not looked like a superstar, but he gets the Jets in Week 11. The Jets are the worst team against running backs in fantasy. The Jets give up 118 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns and 7 receptions for 71 yards receiving weekly to running backs. Oh my, if Gaskin can’t do it this week he simply can’t do it.

James Conner

The Cardinals play the Seahawks in Week 11. The Seahawks give up the second-most fantasy points to opposing running backs, averaging 180 yards and a touchdown in total against the Seahawks. Conner has double-digit fantasy points in 4 straight games and the Cardinals backfield all to himself.

$7,200 on Fanduel

Joe Mixon

Mixon has been everything people hoped he would be this season. Mixon has double-digit fantasy points in all but 2 games this season. The Raiders give up 101 rushing yards and a touchdown and another 40 yards receiving weekly to running backs. The Raiders have given up double-digit fantasy scores in all but one week to running backs. Mixon is fixin’ to go off.

Wide Receivers

Brandin Cooks

The Titans are the worst team against wide receivers in fantasy. In 10 weeks the Titans have given double-digit scores to wide receivers 16 times. Yes, that means almost two wide receivers score double digits every single week. Cooks saw 14 targets in the Texans’ last game, meaning a 33% target share! Someone will be cooking in Nashville.

Corey Davis

Davis leads the Jets wide receivers in targets for most games. In Week 10, he had 7 targets which he turned into 5 receptions and 93 yards. The Dolphins and their third friendliest defense to wide receivers are up next. The Dolphins give up 188 yards and a touchdown on average to wide receivers weekly. Davis will do well at home this week.

Marquise Brown

The Ravens play the Bears in Week 11. The Bears give up the fourth-most points to wide receivers in fantasy. Brown has had double-digit targets in three straight games. Look for Brown and Rashod Bateman both to produce this week in Chicago. Ravens go Hollywood.

Tight Ends

Adam Trautman

The Eagles suck against tight ends, there is no other way to say it. Two weeks ago the stud tight ends like Stephen Anderson (who?) and Donald Parham scored touchdowns against them. Last week Albert Okweugbunam had 77 receiving yards. Trautman has been getting an 18% target share or more weekly, this looks like the pop week.

$4,800 on Fanduel

Cole Kmet

In Week 9, Kmet led the Bears in receiving with 8 targets that he turned into 6 receptions and 87 yards, equating to a 28% target share. In Week 11, the Bear plays the Ravens who give up the third-most fantasy points to tight ends. His quarterback is starting to play better and it looks like the volume will be there. Feeling like Kmet finally gets going.

$5,100 on Fanduel

C.J. Uzomah

Uzomah has two games where he has multiple touchdowns this season. Those games were against two defenses that do not defend the tight end well. In Week 11 the Bengals play the Raiders defense that gives up the second-most points to tight ends. I am saying that there is not only a correlation here between Uzomah producing against the bottom 10 defenses, I am saying that this is the causation for his success. Play Uzomah this week, trust me on this one.

💔 Heart Breakers

Quarter Backs

Carson Wentz

Wentz struggles last week against a Jaguars defense throwing only for 180 yards and no touchdowns. This week he gets to play a Bills defense that gives up the least amount of points to quarterbacks in fantasy. The Bills defense is the best of the best of the best. Don’t get Wentzed.

Taylor Heinicke

The Washington Football Team shocked most of us last week against the Buccaneers. Heinicke had a good game with a 110 rating, throwing for 256 yards and a touchdown. This week he is playing against a Panthers team that allows opponents only 193 yards and a touchdown per game passing. Up and down goes the passing game of the WFT, and down it goes in Week 11.

Russell Wilson

This will be his second game back from injury.  It gets a little tougher for the Seattle passing game as the Cardinals are even better against quarterbacks than the Packers. In Week 10 the Packers held Wilson to 161 yards and a 39 QB rating. YUCK. The good news is it gets easier after this.

Running Backs

Jonathon Taylor – The Colts play the Bills in week 11. If there is one defense, I never play anyone against in DFS, it’s the Bills. As good as Taylor is the Bills are just as good on defense. The Bills have given up only one 100 yards rushing game all season and that was to Derrick Henry. Only one other player has rushed for more than 45 yards. JT is great, I love him but loving him this week will only break your heart.

Bill Running Backs

Yes all three of them. Devin Singletary, Zach Moss, and Matt Breida (who you may have just added). The Colts’ defense is almost as good as the Bills’ defense against the run. The Colts have only allowed two 100 yard rushers on the season. I don’t see the three Bills back coming close to that combined. Yuck, yuck, and double yuck for Breida.

Antonio Gibson

Gibson rushed for 64 yards and 2 touchdowns in Week 10 against a tough Buccaneers defense. The Panthers are tougher against the run than the Bucs. The Panthers have only given up two 100 yard rushers on the season (this seems to be a trend with the good against the run defenses) and only 5 rushing touchdowns on the season.  Gibby could be taking his shirt off and dancing but I think there are better options in Week 11.

Wide Receivers

Marquez Callaway

Callaway has a touchdown in each of the last two weeks and that may make some people want to play him. In Week 11 he is running into an Eagles defense that gives up the fourth-fewest points to wide receivers. Only 5 wide receivers have scored double-digit fantasy points on the Eagles all season. Pair that with the lackadaisical passing offense of the Saints and this is a big avoid.

Justin Jefferson

Obviously, in season-long, you are playing him. But in DFS it’s a big no-no this week. The Packers have not given up a double-digit scoring week to a wide receiver since Week 7. Only two wide receivers have over 100 yards against the Packers this season. I am out on the Vikings pass-catchers in Week 11.

Ja’Marr Chase

I love Chase, and I mean I absolutely love this rookie. He has been a little down with some drops the past two games. The Las Vegas Raiders are the opponent in Week 11 and they are the 6th unfriendliest defense to wide receivers. Only once has a wide receiver gone over 100 yards this year. If Chase gets it done this week it will be with touchdowns.

Tight Ends

Gerald Everett

Everett had 8 receptions for 63 yards against the Packers in Week 10, leading the Seahawks in receiving. Well, that was last week. In Week 11 the opponent is the Cardinals and their league-leading defense against tight ends. The Cardinals have given up a single touchdown to tight ends this season.

Mark Andrews

Andrews has been the second option most of the season for the Ravens. This week the passing game is going to all go through the wide receivers as the Bears give up the fourth-fewest points to tight ends. Look for Rashod Bateman and Marquise Brown to have big weeks and Andrews to be meh.
