I have seen a lot of strange things lately like National Daughters Day and I believe I am writing this on National Sons Day. But did you know every day is National “Something” Day”, For instance this will be published on September 30th and that is National Love People Day and is also International Podcast Day among other random things.
I was writing this on National Drink Beer Day which also happens to be International Poke Day. Coincidence? I think not.
With all these random National and International days I went looking for National Fantasy Football Day only to discover that there isn’t one. We do have National Fantasy Draft Day which takes place on August 24th every year. I did just learn that today.
With all the crazy National Days out there, today is the day I submitted for National Fantasy Football Day with National Day Calendar, yes I want to make it an actual thing. Wish me luck.
If you are new here:
How does this work? Typically, I am not going to tell you to play anyone that is blatantly obvious. I may have to add a place where there are guys you should be playing whether I have them in here or not. If you have Patrick Mahomes, play him (unless I have him as a Heart Breaker). There will be many times I will have a big name as a Heart Breaker for DFS. It doesn’t mean they suck, it means that week there is better value elsewhere.
Here is a brief definition of each of my terms for anyone that might be new:
💰 Money Maker – This player will perform better than expectations
💔 Heart Breaker – This player will perform lower than expectations
💰 Money Makers
Quarterbacks
Matt Ryan
Ryan has 2 games in a row with multiple touchdowns, he also threw for 300 yards against the Buccaneers in week 2. In week 4 Ryan is playing against a team that has given up an average of 315 yards and 2 touchdowns to the passing game of opponents, the Washington Football Team. Things will look good for the Falcons passing game in week 4.

🥳Best #FantasyFootball Matchups for QBs in Wk 4🥳
🔸Matt Ryan vs WAS (allowed 27.3 Fantasy Pts per Game to QBs)
🔸Jalen Hurts vs KC (allowed 25.2 Fantasy Pts)
🔸Taylor Heinicke @ ATL (allowed 25.0 Fantasy Pts)— Chris Nass (@NassNFL) September 28, 2021
Taylor Heinicke
In his two full games, Heinicki has passed for a total of 548 yards and 4 touchdown0s he also has run in another touchdown. In week 4 he will play against the Atlanta Falcons, who until they played the Giants last week were the worst team in the league against the pass. The Falcons give up an average of 268 yards and 3 touchdowns a week. Play Heinicke, stack him with Terry Mclaurin.

$7,400 on Fanduel
Sam Darnold
Darnold has multiple touchdowns in every game this season. He has thrown for over 300 yards in the past two games. In week 4 he is playing a Cowboys team that has given up an average of 347 yards and 2 touchdowns per game to quarterbacks. The good play continues. Plug Darnold in as Money Maker for week 4 and you will not regret it

Running Backs
Jonathan Taylor
Taylor has been just ok the first three weeks of the season. I yawned while reading his stats. But in week 4 he gets to play against the Miami Dolphins, the team that allowed Payton barber to rush for 111 yards against them in week 3. The Dolphins give up an average of 121 yards and a touchdown and 6 receptions for 57 yards to the running back position. You can expect both Taylor and Hines to be involved and effective in week 4.
$6,300 on DraftKings
$6,600 on Fanduel
The Dolphins defense has given up a combined 293 rushing yards on 59 carries (4.97 YPC) to Damien Harris, Devin Singletary, and Peyton Barber.
The Colts are up next.
This isn’t hard, Frank Reich.

Chris Carson
Carson is having an excellent season thus far, he has produced double digit fantasy points in each of the first three weeks. Carson is playing against the Niners in Week 4. The Niners are the fourth friendliest defense to running backs in the league giving up 87 yards rushing and 7 receptions for 55 yards receiving to running backs through three games. Carson should take advantage here in a big way.

Zack Moss
The Texans are a bottom 10 defense against running backs. Zack Moss has scored three touchdowns in the past two weeks of play. The Bills play the Texans in week 4. Easy to pick up what I am putting down here isn’t it. Zack Moss’s coming-out party continues this week.

Wide Receivers
Calvin Ridley
Ridley had 11 targets for 8 receptions and 61 yards in week 3. That was a 31 % target share. In week 4 Ridley gets to play against a WFT team that gives up an average of 20 receptions and 247 yards to wide receivers weekly. He is an absolute Smash play for week 4, RIDLEY.
$7,000 on DraftKings
$7,2,00 on Fanduel
Corey Davis
Davis saw a 29 % target share in week 3. He had 10 targets for 5 receptions and 41 yards. With the opportunity often comes the production and Davis is getting the Lions share of the opportunity of the Jets passing game. In week 4 he plays against a super wide receiver friendly team the Titans. The Titans are bottom 3 against the wide receiver position in fantasy giving up and average of 15 receptions for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns to wide receivers. It sets up great in week 4 for Davis.

Odell Beckham Jr.
We got to see the return of OBJ last week. Beckham had 9 targets for 5 reception and 77 yards, he also had 1 carry for another 10 yards. Beckham had 29 % target share in that game. In week 4 the Browns will be playing against a Vikings team that gives up the 4th most fantasy points to wide receivers.

Tight Ends
Dawson Knox
Knox is averaging 4 targets per game. He has a touchdown in each of the last two games. He appears to be the fourth option in the passing game for the Bills but is someone Allen is looking for in the red zone. If you are needy at TE Knox is playing against a Texans team that gives up 7 receptions and 76 yards on average to tight ends.
$3,600 on DraftKings

Dawson Knox is regularly involved in the Bills offense now and has been good enough for the first few weeks. LONG
Pat Freiermuth is getting good usage already. Beyond being a good stash for later, he could be good now. Long

Logan Thomas
Thomas is consistently targeted in the WFT passing attack. Thomas has 2 touchdowns in the first three games. The WFT is playing against the Falcons in week 4. The Falcons give up an average of 5 receptions for 58 yards and are the 7th kindest defense to tight ends. Thomas is a nice upside play in week 4.

💔 Heart Breakers
Quarterbacks
Davis Mills
Hopefully you aren’t playing him. This week the Texans play the toughest team against quarterbacks regarding fantasy production. The play the Bills. Even in 2 QB leagues I am completely out on Mills this week.
Derek Carr
Carr is having one hell of a season. IN season long I am playing him myself this week. But in DFS I am an avoid. The Chargers have been making it tough for quarterbacks to rack up fantasy points this season. I see it being a tough go for Carr as well.
Ryan Tannehill
It looked like Tannehill was making a nice come back after his week 1 debacle. But this week he runs into a Jets team that has only given up one passing touchdown so far this season. The Jets made it tough for the Teddy Bridgewater last week and will make it tough for Tannehill this week. The Jets give up the 5th fewest points to quarterbacks.
Running Backs
Ezekiel Elliott
You want to know who has looked fantastic the last two weeks. Zeke Elliott is, that’s who. You know who is playing the defense that is the toughest on running backs in week 4. Zeke Elliott is, that’s who. They give up an average of 31 yards on the ground per week. If you have him you are playing him in season long, but he is a no no in DFS.
Alexander Mattison
Mattison smashed in relief of Dalvin Cook in week 3. If he is up again in week 4 he will find the road a lot tougher as the Browns are the third stingiest team against running backs. The Browns have not given up a touchdown to running backs yet this season.
Aaron Jones
First Zeke and now Jones Reedy? Are you just trying to be controversial? Is this contrarians nonsense to get attention? Well, um maybe. But actually no it isn’t The Packers play the Steelers in week 4. The Steelers have not given up a touchdown to a running back on the ground or via the air this season. This looks like a game where the Packers passing game will rule.
Wide Receivers
Tyreek Hill
The Eagles held this guy to 29 total yards in Week 2. The Chargers held him to 67 total yards in Week 3. In Week 4, he is playing against an Eagles team who has been the toughest on wide receivers so far in 2021. The price is too high for me in DFS, obviously, if you have him in season long you better not be sitting him.
Henry Ruggs
Ruggs has seen 7 targets in each of the last two games. The Chargers only give up an average of 11 receptions for 110 yards to the wide receiver position weekly. It looks like a week where Wallers will be heavily involved and Ruggs and Edwards not so much.
Julio Jones
Jones has had one good week out of the first 3 so far this season. Other than that he has been rather pedestrian. In Week 4 he is playing against a Jets team that gives up the 3rd fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. Jones is breaking my heart yet again.
Tight Ends
Rob Gronkowski
You know who the second toughest team is against tight ends statistically? The Patriots are. Really they have been spectacular against all three opponents’ tight ends so far this season. The Patriots rank as the second stingiest defense to the position. That means Gronk will find tough sledding in New England. Just Kidding. The pats haven’t face a single tight end that has been able to do anything because they were all horrible. So if you read this far I want you to tweet at me with #MMHB that you actually got to read this, because it’s a joke. Gronk is a Money Maker when he goes back to New England this week. Trust me, play him.
Tyler Higbee
I love the snap share Higbee has. He is on the field for the vast majority of offensive snaps. 100% in the first 2 weeks and 75% in week 3. I just don’t love his target share. He is consistently the 4th or 5th option in the passing game. If Henderson is back he gets bumped even lower. Unfortunately, if you thought this one was a joke, it isn’t. Sit Higbee in Week 4.
NOTE: There are legit too many Heart Breakers at this position to name them all.
