Recapping from Week 5, only a handful of players shined after suggesting they start. Jaleel McLaughlin hit big, along with Cole Kmet and Curtis Samuel. And popularly, Joe Burrow bounces back after I recommend benching him. Who saw that coming?! This is why you come to The Undroppables for all your fantasy football advice!

QUARTERBACKS

Sam Howell (Washington Commanders)

Yahoo – 33% Rostered
ESPN – 17% Rostered
Sleeper – 37% Rostered

Hammering at Sam to be added to rosters once again. With a top-10 finish on Week 5 and a great upcoming schedule during several bye weeks, Sam Howell is an excellent waiver addition this week and potentially a starter going forward if they are looking to throw this much every week.

RUNNING BACKS

Emari Demercado (Arizona Cardinals)

Yahoo – 0% Rostered
ESPN – 0% Rostered
Sleeper – 2% Rostered

Monitoring how James Conner progresses during the week, the gut reaction will be to add a running back from the Cardinals to play. Some people may need anyone to start with bye weeks and injuries, adding Emari, the backup in Week 5, who finished the game with 45 rushing yards and a touchdown. It’s not a top priority, but it’s someone to add to deep benches for a couple of weeks.

Kendre Miller (New Orleans Saints)

Yahoo – 12% Rostered
ESPN – 8% Rostered
Sleeper – 21% Rostered

Looking for a longer-term stash, Kendre Miller played the most snaps after Tony Jones Jr. was cut earlier this week and was the primary backup. Jamaal Williams is still on IR, and Alvin Kamara is still good but approaching many touches on his career. Kendre might start having some solid weeks to close out the season.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Rashee Rice (Kansas City Chiefs)

Yahoo – 37% Rostered
ESPN – 19% Rostered
Sleeper – 49% Rostered

We are finishing Week 5 with five targets, four receptions that created 33 receiving yards, and one touchdown. Starting any Chiefs wide receiver this year is a gamble, but Rice might begin to separate himself from the group as the year progresses. This is a nice stash for mid to late season.

Josh Downs (Indianapolis Colts)

Yahoo – 8% Rostered
ESPN – 11% Rostered
Sleeper – 26% Rostered

Another rookie WR to look at, Josh Downs, finishes Week 5, catching all six of his targets for 97 receiving yards. It doesn’t matter which QB is throwing to him; Downs has been involved and producing as the second target in the Colts offense.

TIGHT ENDS

Chigoziem Okonkwo (Tennessee Titans)

Yahoo – 36% Rostered
ESPN – 23% Rostered
Sleeper – 27% Rostered

Finally getting involved in the passing game, the Titans opened up and produced some solid finishes for their pass catches in Week 5. Okonkwo was a significant benefactor, with nine targets and catching five for 33 receiving yards. It may not seem like a ton, but with how the TE position has been this year, getting a lot of targets is all you can ask for.

BUZZ CUTS

Najee Harris (Pittsburgh Steelers)

If you have watched any Pittsburgh game this year, you have seen the split between Najee and Jaylen Warren start to favor Warren. Warren has also produced more and is receiving more and more of the receiving work. It’s a tough pill, but it’s time to move on from Najee Harris.

Daniel Jones (New York Giants)

I am okay with being wrong on this, but I will gladly cut Daniel Jones from my rosters (redraft, obviously) and go with streaming or someone like Howell. I thought he was improving, and with the contract, he would continue. One of his easiest matchups to start the season, and he only threw for 119 passing yards. No thanks.

I was asked to join a fantasy football league in High School and I haven't been the same since. I love the competitive nature, the communities it builds, and the thinking and content that can be created. I am hoping to connect to larger audiences in helping them grow into becoming knowledgable managers and I am open to discussions.
