The Flex Factor | Week 7

Figuring out your flex spots can be the difference between winning and losing your weekly matchup. In this weekly series presented by Flex Fantasy, we’ll look at sleeper running backs and wide receivers outside the consensus top 50 who you should be considering in your lineups.

Rashee Rice

The rookie WR in Kansas City put himself into flex consideration in his Week 6 performance – catching 4 passes for 72 yards. Rice has put together two solid outings in consecutive weeks while also scoring more than 10.5 PPR points in four games. He’s a strong WR3 candidate for this week and worthy of a flex start.

Michael Thomas

Ranked 57th in the consensus, Michael Thomas has provided a consistent PPR floor this season. Last Sunday, Thomas caught 5 passes (off 8 targets) and, even though the yardage totals were low, ~10 points is decent for a pinch flex play. The Saints leading receiver has offered WR3 production all season and faces a middling Jacksonville secondary this week.

Gabe Davis

Davis is a boom-bust play for those in underdog spots this week. His floor is terrifying but his ceiling is as high as the elite receivers. The matchup isn’t great on paper in what’s projected to be a low-scoring affair, Davis has the potential to score on any given play which puts him on the flex map for Week 7.
