The Stream Option (Fantasy Football 2021 – Fantasy Playoffs Edition)

Reflection Section – Week 13 Finishes

Taysom Hill – QB4
Carson Wentz – QB24
Foster Moreau – TE26
Tyler Conklin – TE6
Kansas City Chiefs – DST4
Philadelphia Eagles – DST17

I hit on both ends of the spectrum for each position. Tremendous finishes for Taysom Hill, Tyler Conklin, and Chiefs D/ST in Week 13.  Carson didn’t have a bad week; they didn’t need much with complete domination on the ground.  Foster came up concisely, and the Eagles defense didn’t make a lot of plays on defense.

I decided to write this week’s article around the playoff games that are coming up.  Hopefully, streaming got you into a position where you are potentially making the playoffs and are gearing up to make some stashes for these critical positions! Good luck in the playoffs if you made them, and good luck next year if you missed out!

They are continuing to get better, mastering my process. Here are some fantasy football streamers looking for some streaming options in Week 14 and fantasy football playoffs. If you ever want to look at where these options sit in rankings, don’t forget to check out The Undroppables Weekly Rankings.

Quarterbacks

Jimmy Garoppolo

Yahoo Rostership: 31%
ESPN Rostership: 14%
Week 14 Opponent: @ Cincinnati Bengals (Ranked 26th)
Week 15 Opponent: v. Atlanta Falcons (Ranked 7th)
Week 16 Opponent: @ Tennessee Titans (Ranked 3rd)
Week 17 Opponent: v. Houston Texans (Ranked 12th)

Looking at the playoff schedule, Jimmy G starts with a great matchup. Deebo Samuel is back in the lineup, and they begin with the porous Atlanta defense. He follows it up with a stricter road matchup against the Titans that they certainly can win but gets to host the Houston Texans in the championship game. If you can stash Jimmy and pair him with a quarterback that has a better matchup in Week 16, you should be able to hold up the trophy at the end of the season.

Mac Jones

Yahoo Rostership: 39%
ESPN Rostership: 22%
Week 14 Opponent: Bye Week
Week 15 Opponent: @ Indianapolis Colts (Ranked 17th)
Week 16 Opponent: v. Buffalo Bills (Ranked 32nd)
Week 17 Opponent: v. Jacksonville Jaguars (Ranked 24th)

How can a streaming article written by FF_DF not include a rookie quarterback? This would be very bold to have a rookie QB lead you to a championship, but that happened for me when I rode Tim Tebow’s rookie season to one of my first championships. Favorable matchups in Week 15 and 17 against the Colts and Jaguars. Those weeks sandwich the most challenging week against the Bills, but with the injury to Tre’Davious White, there could be a chance they get exposed by Bill’s galaxy brain for scheming. If you are desperate or an injury hits you when you least need it, Mac is a good QB with some great weeks.

Tight Ends

Evan Engram

Yahoo Rostership: 29%
ESPN Rostership: 28%
Week 14 Opponent: @ Los Angeles Chargers (Ranked 6th)
Week 15 Opponent: v. Dallas Cowboys (Ranked 17th)
Week 16 Opponent: @ Philadelphia Eagles (Ranked 3rd)
Week 17 Opponent: @ Chicago Bears (Ranked 28th)

A popular streamer for the whole season, Evan Engram makes his way back to the conversation for tight end streaming options. In Week 14, he starts with a great matchup against the Chargers, allowing ten touchdowns to the tight end position this season. Most of these occurred in the red zone so look for him if you need a win to get into the playoffs. Engram gets a nice matchup against the Eagles and Cowboys to help you get into the championship if you are stashing for the playoffs. Engram might be the only option each week for receptions with all the injuries with the Giants.

Tyler Conklin

Yahoo Rostership: 31%
ESPN Rostership: 34%
Week 14 Opponent: v. Pittsburgh Steelers (Ranked 24th)
Week 15 Opponent: @Chicago Bears (Ranked 28th)
Week 16 Opponent: v. Los Angeles Rams (Ranked 12th)
Week 17 Opponent: @ Green Bay Packers (Ranked 25th)

Looking at Tyler’s schedule, this isn’t someone facing a favorable schedule. What he does have going for him is Adam Thielen is dealing with an ankle sprain and could be giving up targets for the pass-happy offense. They could see themselves throwing a lot in each of those scenarios or needing a red zone target. Pairing him with Evan Engram would be a great way to stream some tight ends for the fantasy playoffs.

Defense/Special Teams

Los Angeles Chargers

Yahoo Rostership: 29%
ESPN Rostership: 7%
Week 14 Opponent: v. New York Giants (Ranked 11th)
Week 15 Opponent: v. Kansas City Chiefs (Ranked 18th)
Week 16 Opponent: @ Houston Texans (Ranked 1st)
Week 17 Opponent: v. Denver Broncos (Ranked 7th)

The hype for the Chargers’ defense looked great on paper but hasn’t lived up to the hype, especially with new head coach Brandon Staley taking over after being the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams. However, look for this defense to come together to make the playoffs.  Turnover-prone teams with the Giants and Chiefs and lower scoring offenses in Texans and Broncos help make this defense a good stash for the fantasy playoffs. Bonus if you have a bye week in the playoffs, avoiding the Chiefs matchup.

Philadelphia Eagles

Yahoo Rostership: 56%
ESPN Rostership: 72%
Week 14 Opponent: Bye Week
Week 15 Opponent: v. Washington Football Team (Ranked 9th)
Week 16 Opponent: v. New York Giants (Ranked 11th)
Week 17 Opponent: @ Washington Football Team (Ranked 9th)

I hope you read my Week 13 article and started the Philadelphia Eagles against the New York Jets. Now you are reading this article and realizing that you need to stash the Eagles D/ST to win your championship. They get the WFT twice and then the Giants right in the middle of it.  This is a great set it and forget it D/ST for the fantasy playoffs.

I was asked to join a fantasy football league in High School and I haven't been the same since. I love the competitive nature, the communities it builds, and the thinking and content that can be created. I am hoping to connect to larger audiences in helping them grow into becoming knowledgable managers and I am open to discussions.
