The Stream Option (Fantasy Football 2021 – Week 12)

Reflection Section – Week 11 Finishes

Cam Newton – QB5
Mac Jones – QB19
C.J. Uzomah – TE37
Geoff Swaim – N/R (Injured)
Carolina Panthers – DST17
Miami Dolphins – DST16

Not a bad week, with a top finish from Cam Newton and average finishes for the defenses.  Uzomah failed pretty hard and Swaim was hurt but if you pivoted to Firkser you got very lucky with the fumble touchdown.

I can’t win them all, but I certainly can learn and try again. Here are some fantasy football streamers if you are looking for some streaming options in Week 12. If you ever want to look at where these options sit in rankings, don’t forget to check out The Undroppables Weekly Rankings.

Notable Bye Week Teams

Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Rams

Quarterbacks

Cam Newton @ Miami Dolphins

Yahoo Rostership: 52%
Opposition Rank vs QB: 3rd

Going back to the Cam Newton well, with a great matchup to follow up his welcoming back performance. His three touchdowns and his 46 rushing yards boosted him to a QB5 finish on Week 11.  Look for Cam to follow it up with more time in the offense against the porous Miami secondary.

Jimmy Garoppolo vs Minnesota Vikings

Yahoo Rostership: 32%
Opposition Rank vs QB: 8th

Someone I am not a big advocate on, Jimmy G has proven me wrong the past four weeks.  He has had 2 touchdowns in each of the weeks and in two of the games he had over 300 passing yards. Coincidently, those were the weeks he has Top 10 finishes on the week. Look for a shootout in the Bay Area.

Tight Ends

Evan Engram vs Philadelphia Eagles

Yahoo Rostership: 32%
Opposition Rank vs TE: 1st

Coming off a bad performance, Evan looks like a top play this week.  New interim head coach Freddie Kitchens loves to feature the tight end and the Eagles are the league-worst for points allowed to the tight ends. Evan could easily be featured this week in the passing game as the franchise starts to see which players are in their future as their season continues to trend downward.

Mo Alie-Cox vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Yahoo Rostership: 5%
Opposition Rank vs TE: 12th

Long shot again at the position, but the Bucs have been susceptible to the tight ends this season and the Colts can attack weak spots in defenses.  Look for Mo to catch a touchdown this week and a handful of yards.  The danger here is he will split with Jack Doyle so tough to say which one will end up in the end zone.

Defense/Special Teams

Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Giants

Yahoo Rostership: 20%
Opposition Rank vs D/ST: 12th

Eagle’s defense is starting to become a force, and the touchdowns from Darius Slay have helped boost the fantasy finishes.  A turnover-prone Daniel Jones in a new offense could lead to one more touchdown for the defense. This is another D/ST candidate to being a weekly starter with how the rest of their schedule is looking.

Houston Texans vs. New York Jets

Yahoo Rostership: 4%
Opposition Rank vs D/ST: 4th

What is stranger, nominating the Texans as a streaming candidate or the fact they are coming off a DST2 and a DST6 weekly finish?  The weather helped, but they were able to dominate against the Titans and I look for them to do the same against the returning Zach Wilson led Jets.

I was asked to join a fantasy football league in High School and I haven't been the same since. I love the competitive nature, the communities it builds, and the thinking and content that can be created. I am hoping to connect to larger audiences in helping them grow into becoming knowledgable managers and I am open to discussions.
