Review from Week 9
Rashod Bateman – Excellent trim. Rashod was placed on season-ending IR after my article came out. Drop even to save yourself your IR spots.
AJ Dillon – Finished week at RB30, excellent trim. With Aaron Jones missing time in this game and against the Lions’ defense, AJ still couldn’t put up decent numbers.
Melvin Gordon III – Undetermined, bye week last week.
Bye weeks are not as tough this week, but they are still missing some key players. With Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots, and New York Jets on the bye week, make sure to look at Mike Reedy’s Untangling the Wire article this week to help get you some bye week fillers.
Let’s get to trimming those rosters!
Justin Herbert (QB – Los Angeles Chargers)
Rostership Percentages:
Yahoo – 99% Ownership
ESPN – 99% Ownership
Sleeper – 99% Ownership (Includes dynasty)
Season Ranking – QB13
Week 6 Finish – QB24
Week 7 Finish – QB6
Week 9 Finish – QB18
By far my most controversial recommendation since starting this series, and I am posting because I did this in my redraft leagues. I moved on from Herbert in place of Justin Fields and was heavily rewarded for my play. With no Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, injuries to the offensive line, himself, and poor coaching have sunk Justin Herbert to not matching what we hoped for this year. I don’t blame you if you hold on, know there are better options.
Nyheim Hines (RB – Buffalo Bills)
Rostership Percentages:
Yahoo – 74% Ownership
ESPN – 57% Ownership
Sleeper – 76% Ownership (Includes dynasty)
Season Ranking – RB46
Week 6 Finish – RB68
Week 8 Finish – RB23
Week 9 Finish – RB76
I traded to the Bills, hoping they finally found their pass-catching back. Unfortunately, the trade looks more focused on his return ability and a depth signing. We know that Josh Allen doesn’t throw to the RBs consistently, so not worth rostering with Devin Singletary healthy.
Robert Woods (WR – Tennessee Titans)
Rostership Percentages:
Yahoo – 53% Ownership
ESPN – 59% Ownership
Sleeper – 58% Ownership (Includes dynasty)
Season Ranking – RB69
Week 6 Finish – WR66
Week 8 Finish – WR75
Week 9 Finish – WR103
What can you even say about this receiving corp? No one is doing well, the offense runs through Derrick Henry, and that’s it. Ryan Tannehill is still healing, and Malik Willis does not look ready to play quarterback at any level. Very desperate if you are starting Woods, there are much better options on the waiver wire.
Good luck to everyone; this is when teams will start clinching their spots in playoffs, and teams making runs need to excel each week.
