Review from Week 3

George Pickens – Finished WR64 on the week, pretty good trim. Unfortunately, that offense cannot support multiple pass catchers right now.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling – Finished WR53 on the week, pretty good trim. Getting decent targets, but JuJu is starting to be the WR to own for the Chiefs.

Cole Kmet – Finished TE27 on the week, excellent trim. He finally got some action! Still not enough to warrant a roster spot.

Darnell Mooney – Finished WR77 on the week, excellent trim.  This offense is awful; Mooney is droppable.

Trends are starting to form, and decisions are becoming easier and easier to make! There might be some big names this week, but I feel confident you can pair this article with Mike Reedy’s Untangling the Wire. You can backfill with some absolute values. Let’s get to trimming!

Julio Jones (WR – Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Rostership Percentages:
Yahoo – 61% Ownership
ESPN – 70% Ownership
Sleeper – 74% Ownership (Includes dynasty)
Week 1 Finish – WR39
Week 2 Finish – NA
Week 3 Finish – NA

Are we hoping that Julio will become healthy and become his former self? Mike Evans and Chris Godwin will be back, and Russell Gage and Breshad Perriman looked to be serviceable. However, I can’t imagine a scenario where you would feel confident starting Julio in a lineup; please send him back to the waiver wire and pick up someone else.

Robbie Anderson (WR – Carolina Panthers)

Rostership Percentages:
Yahoo – 28% Ownership
ESPN – 51% Ownership
Sleeper – 38% Ownership (Includes dynasty)
Week 1 Finish – WR10
Week 2 Finish – WR81
Week 3 Finish – WR97

Every year, his name ends up on this series at one point. This year, however, it’s not his fault. Baker Mayfield has ruined the fantasy potential for all Panthers this year, and it’s been devastating. We are not looking at cutting Christian McCaffrey or DJ Moore, but the WR2 on a poor offense, Robbie, unfortunately, can be cut until something significantly changes for that offense.

Hunter Henry (TE – New England Patriots)

Rostership Percentages:
Yahoo – 42% Ownership
ESPN – 57% Ownership
Sleeper – 39% Ownership (Includes dynasty)
Week 1 Finish – TE35
Week 2 Finish – TE56
Week 3 Finish – TE52

Once a surprise weekly starter for the 2021 season, he has been relegated to doing absolutely nothing in fantasy. Hunter should be on every waiver wire after this week with only five targets on the season through three weeks. Tyler Conklin is a great TE to grab right now.

Albert Okwuegbunam (TE – Denver Broncos)

Rostership Percentages:
Yahoo – 43% Ownership
ESPN – 21% Ownership
Sleeper – 49% Ownership (Includes dynasty)
Week 1 Finish – TE16
Week 2 Finish – TE65
Week 3 Finish – TE47

Albert would be the underneath threat for Russel Wilson while he cooked up defenses this year. Unfortunately, Denver has yet to light the grill even to start cooking. So Albert will also be low on the pecking order; look for another option to stream.
