Review from Week 8

Kyle Pitts – Finished TE3 on the week, decent trim. He finally got featured in the passing game! That is two finishes as a TE1 in the past three weeks, so maybe I was wrong. He can burn you just as much, but that can also be said about the other tight ends.

Drake London – Finished WR56 on the week, excellent trim. Unfortunately, he was not featured in the passing game again. Feel good in redraft if you let him hit the waivers.

This week’s bye week might be the most brutal from a numbers standpoint. We got the Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers, and San Francisco 49ers all on bye this week. Why NFL why?

Let’s get to trimming!

Rashod Bateman (WR – Baltimore Ravens)

Rostership Percentages:
Yahoo – 75% Ownership
ESPN – 81% Ownership
Sleeper – 81% Ownership (Includes dynasty)
Season Ranking – WR54

Week 7 Finish – WR51
Week 8 Finish – WR125

Day to day, says Harbaugh, then got reinjured quickly on a Thursday night game. We are too late in the season to be stashing day-to-day/aggravating injuries if you are in the playoff hunt and have serious bye-week issues. Plenty of other wide receivers on the waiver to pick up. Read up on this week’s Untangling the Wire to find out which ones!

AJ Dillon (RB – Green Bay Packers)

Rostership Percentages:
Yahoo – 85% Ownership
ESPN – 73% Ownership
Sleeper – 83% Ownership (Includes dynasty)
Season Ranking – RB38
Week 6 Finish – RB22
Week 7 Finish – RB59
Week 8 Finish – RB43

Many people held that AJ would eventually get the workload this year. However, Aaron Jones is not letting go of his shares, looking more explosive and a key part of a pitiful offense. With limited rushes and no consistent targets, look for AJ to return to the waiver wire, even if the bye weeks hurt you.

Melvin Gordon III (RB – Denver Broncos)

Rostership Percentages:
Yahoo – 81% Ownership
ESPN – 70% Ownership
Sleeper – 78% Ownership (Includes dynasty)
Season Ranking – RB41
Week 6 Finish – RB63
Week 7 Finish – RB37
Week 8 Finish – RB19

For someone on the bye week this week, I would look to move on still. Replaced by Latavius Murray off the street, his Week 8 finish was saved by a touchdown that could have quickly gone to Murray. I would love to say he can regain this backfield, but Hackett looks to have moved on.

*Trade Deadline Update* Denver trading for Chase Edmonds adds to the uncertainty of this messy backfield. Makes the decision easier for me.

Good luck to everyone; this is when teams will start clinching their spots in playoffs, and teams making runs need to excel each week.
