OUCH, injuries were piling up in Week 12. Christian McCaffrey, Dalvin Cook, and D’Andre Swift, and that were just the running backs. So, you probably need some help, if you don’t need the help and have the bench space now is the time to add someone that might help your opponent. Yes, I am advocating making the addition especially at running back even if you don’t really need a running back.
NOTE: If you are new around here this column refers to players rostered in under 50% of Yahoo, ESPN, and Sleeper Leagues.
Quarterbacks
TAYLOR HEINICKE
Over 250 yards and/or multiple touchdowns four straight weeks. Heinicke gets Logan Thomas back and is playing the Raiders in Week 13. The Raiders are pretty much the middle of the packs against opponent quarterbacks in fantasy. The passing game has been opening up a bit for the WFT and he makes a nice bye week fill-in at the very least.

Other quarterbacks to consider if you are desperate: Tua Tagovailoa, Andy Dalton, Mac Jones
Running Backs
ALEXANDER MATTISON
Dalvin Cook left Week 12 with an injury and it looks pretty bad. He dislocated his shoulder and tore his labrum. Mattison has been very good this season in relief of Cook with two 20 point games earlier in the season. In Week 13 the Vikings will play the Lions who give up the third-most points to running backs.

DONTRELL HILLIARD & D’ONTA FOREMAN
Here are the numbers for Week 12. Hilliard had 133 total yards and a touchdown and Foreman with 111 total yards. Both running backs ran exceptionally well for the Titans in Week 12 against the Patriots. We know the Titans want to run the ball and apparently. They split snaps and touches almost equally, Hilliard played 32 snaps and Foreman played 31 snaps. Hilliard had 13 touches and Foreman had 20 touches. I like both of them. I would probably add Hilliard as 1A and Foreman as 1B.

NOTE: If you play redraft with me it is more than likely that I already have Hilliard on my roster.
CHUBA HUBBARD
Hubbard will be the lead back for the Carolina Panthers for the remainder of the season as Christian McCaffrey is now out for the year. He has a bye in Week 13 but Week 14 looks like a nice tasty match against the Atlanta Falcons. The playoff fantasy schedule is very difficult for the Panthers though with the Bills, Buccaneers, and Saints on the list.

JAMAL WILLIAMS
Another injury this time to D’Andre Swift led Williams to have 20 touches in Week 12l leading to 15 carries for 65 yards and 5 receptions for 18 yards. Williams wasn’t amazing but he may end up the only game in town for Week 13 against the Vikings. The same Vikings that just gave up 199 yards rushing to the Niners in Week 12.

Other running backs to consider: Matt Breida
Wide Receivers
KENDRICK BOURNE
Bourne has 3 touchdowns in the past 3 weeks. He is currently the WR22 in fantasy on the season and really should be rostered. Jones looks for him in the red zone where his route running is paying off. He could pay big dividends in the fantasy playoffs.

VAN JEFFERSON
While everyone was excited about Odell Beckham Jr., I was excited about Van Jefferson. Why do you ask? Well because Jefferson has not seen less than 6 targets since Week 7. He had 9 targets in Week 12 which he turned into 3 receptions for 93 yards and a touchdown. I like the target share (24%) and the overall volume that brings. The playoff fantasy schedule is nice as well with the Seahawks, Vikings, and Ravens for Weeks 15 through 17.

LAVISKA SHENAULT
Shenault saw 9 targets in Week 12. He turned that into 5 receptions for 33 yards. His schedule is not exceptionally difficult and the volume will be there. The combination of those two is why I am interested in making this addition.

Other wide receivers to consider: Josh Reynolds, Russell Gage, Marques Valdes-Scantling
Tight Ends
JACK DOYLE
Doyle’s target share has gone up the past three weeks with a minimum of 5 targets per week during that stretch. In Week 12 he had 7 targets for 6 receptions, 81 yards and a touchdown. With the target share increase and the Texans up next. Doyle is a viable play in Week 13. He also leads the Colts in Tight End snaps the past three weeks.

COLE KMET
In 4 of the last 5 games, Kmet has had 6 or more targets. In Week 12 he had 11 targets which netted him 8 receptions for 65 yards. Kmet has been getting more and more involved as the season has progressed. The Cardinals are up next.

JAMES O’SHAUGHNESSY
He played in 81% of the snaps in Week 12 after Arnold got injured. During that time on the field, he saw 5 targets and had 3 receptions for 29 yards. The targets will be there for Mr. O-Shag-Hennesy.
