The fantasy community lost Michael Tagliere who was a writer and podcast host for Fantasy Pros to Covid-19. I have known Mike since 2014 and had many interactions with him over the years. I genuinely like and will dearly miss him. So instead of me trying to be funny or witty today, I am going to ask you to give Mike a brief moment of silence.
Thank you.
NOTE: If you are new around here this column refers to players rostered in under 50% of Yahoo, ESPN, and Sleeper leagues.
Quarterbacks
Sam Darnold
Darnold has proven that being set free from the Jets is a wonderful thing. Through the first 3 games of the season, the new Carolina QB is averaging just under 300 yards passing per game and has been responsible for 2 touchdowns in each game either passing or rushing. With the Cowboys and their bottom 10 defense against quarterbacks in fantasy next on the schedule, Darnold is a must-add if you are struggling at QB.

Sam Darnold has both run for more TDs (3) and thrown more TDs (3) than the #Jets have scored (2).

Jacoby Brissett
Brissett is proving again that he has fantasy value. With Tua now on IR, we will have at least 3 more weeks of Brissett. Those three weeks bring the Colts, the Buccaneers, and the Jaguars. This means 3 weeks of fantasy goodness from Brissett.

Taylor Heinicke
IN his two full games as the starter, Heinicke has a 316 yard 2 TD game and a 212 yard 2 TD passing and another 21 yards and a TD rushing. He is clearly HeiniCAN. The team that gives up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks is up next, that’s right the Atlanta Falcons.

Other quarterbacks to consider: Teddy Bridgewater, Ben Roethlisberger
Running Backs
Chuba Hubbard
With Christian McCaffrey missing 2 or 3 weeks, Hubbard becomes a big priority on the wire. He had good volume stepping in for CMC with 11 carries for 52 yards and 3 receptions for 27 yards. He will be the primary back at least for the next few weeks for the Panthers and they will utilize him.

Zack Moss
Moss looked really good on Sunday and the stat sheet reflects that. 60 yards on 13 carries and 3 receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown. With injuries at running back, I would make Moss and Hubbard priority adds this week.

Peyton Barber
Well I wasn’t expecting to be writing about Barber, but 23 carries for 111 yards and a touchdown with 3 receptions for 31 yards makes a guy a player you need to add. Jacobs appears to be dinged up but he might be back in week 4, Barber has proven he is the backup to Jacobs.

Wide Receivers
Hunter Renfrow
In Week 3, Renfrow scored his first touchdown of the season. His first three weeks of the season have gone 6 receptions for 70 yards in Week 1; 5 receptions for 57 yards in Week 2; and 5 receptions for 77 yards in a touchdown in Week 3. If you are playing in PPR, I would definitely make Renfrow and add.

What makes Hunter Renfrow so good is his ability to accelerate from a break in his route that he sets up so unassumingly, coupled with fantastic hands and desire to make the catch. So underrated ☠️#raidernation pic.twitter.com/7ExQ3phHi1

Kendrick Bourne
In Week 3, James White left the game with a hip injury and Bourne saw 16% target share which gave him 8 targets for 6 receptions, 96 yards, and a touchdown. I would have him and Jakobi Meyers as adds if he is available as well.

Emmanuel Sanders
Sanders saw 6 targets for 5 receptions for 94 yards and 2 touchdowns in Week 3. He and Cole Beasley scorched the Washington Football Team from the slot for 192 yards in total. I love Sanders and he is an add but I would have him after the two guys I listed earlier if you need a wide receiver Washington is consistently burned in the slot, proceed with some caution.

Tight Ends
Dawson Knox
He had 41 yards in Week 1 and followed that up with 2 receptions for 17 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. In Week 3, Knox saw 5 targets which he turned into 4 receptions for 49 yards and a touchdown. I talked about him in this space last week. I pretty much joked about it, but seriously he is a TE add now he is the 6th best TE in fantasy right now.

Austin Hooper
Hooper saw only 3 targets but he had 2 receptions for 19 yards and a touchdown. He has been producing somewhat in fantasy. You could do worse than Hooper and if you don’t have one of the big guys you probably are doing worse.
